Why this route

Great Exuma anchors the Exuma Cays archipelago — one of the most photographed stretches of water in the Caribbean. From Nassau, the route is 130 nautical miles southeast, about 30 minutes in the Lear 60. Sandals Emerald Bay and Grand Isle Resort are the principal resorts; the villa-rental market across Stocking Island, Hoopers Bay, and the cays north toward Staniel drives the broader leisure flow.

Onward inter-cay travel from MYEF is typically by boat or small charter — Staniel Cay (MYES) has a 3,000-foot runway that the Lear can't use, so for specific cay destinations we'd land at MYEF and broker onward lift on a piston or small turboprop. Most clients prefer the boat option from George Town to the cays.

Airport & ground handoff

Exuma International (MYEF) in George Town is the only practical Lear-compatible field on Great Exuma. The 7,000-foot runway accommodates the Lear with comfortable margin. As domestic Bahamian travel, there's no customs or immigration step on either end — wheels-up to wheels-down in 30 minutes, then straight to the resort or villa.

Ground transfer from MYEF to Sandals Emerald Bay is 25 minutes; to Grand Isle Resort 15 minutes; to George Town and onward boat connection 5 minutes. The FBO concierge handles ground transport bookings.

On the Nassau end, all flights operate out of MYNN. Total trip time from MYNN gate to MYEF FBO is typically under 45 minutes including loading and taxi.
