Why this route

KEGE is what Aspen would be if it had more runway and easier weather. At 6,547 feet — lower than KASE's 7,820 feet — Vail/Eagle is the more forgiving Colorado mountain field for the Lear 60. Performance margins are better, weather minimums are more workable, and the ramp can absorb significant ski-season volume. Many trips that would have routed to KASE end up at KEGE when the math is tighter, and the ground transfer to Vail Village is well-developed.

We fly KEGE both as a primary destination (clients headed to Vail, Beaver Creek, or the Eagle/Edwards corridor) and as a KASE alternate when Aspen weather is below limits. Crew training and FBO relationships are the same for either field.

Airport & FBO

Atlantic Aviation operates the principal FBO at KEGE — full ramp services, fuel, and CBP clearance on-field for international arrivals. Reservations are essential in ski season; we book your slot at the same time we file the trip.

The ground transfer from KEGE to Vail Village is 35 minutes via I-70; to Beaver Creek 25 minutes. Snow-rated private SUVs, town cars, and shuttle services are all coordinated through the FBO concierge.

On the Nassau end, all flights operate out of MYNN. As with Aspen, we plan alternates aggressively — KASE itself is the standard alternate, with KRIL (Rifle) or KGJT (Grand Junction) further out. We don't push into KEGE on marginal weather; we reposition you and arrange ground transport, every time.
